Synthetic Hydraulic Oils

Hydraulic oil must be clean, very clean at all times. Due to hydraulic extreme high pressure any small particles in the oil systems will quickly damage critical shut-off valves. Once damage occurs, the hydraulic systems can only be corrected with new replacement parts. More than half of mechanical failure in hydraulic systems is caused by the oil contamination. The full-flow and a bypass filtration (if installed) keep the oil clean, preventing varnish contamination is up to the oil itself.

Maximum Cleanliness

Filtration is the first line of defense to keep hydraulic systems running efficiently and lasting longer. Secondly, better oil can resist internal breakdown (oxidation) caused by air and water mixing with the oil and causing varnish creating wear particles within the oil as it undergoes extreme pressure and heat.

Once oxidation begins to occur, the cascading effect of small particles begin to solidify together forming larger particles in the oil circulation. Even though every effort was made keep the oil clean, the oil itself is creating wear particles. This begin as the oil becomes darker, and varnish (oxidized particles) cling to hot components before breaking away into the oil circulation. AMSOIL synthetic hydraulic oils have excellent air-release and water separation characteristics preventing oil oxidation and varnish buildup.

AMSOIL All-Season, Anti-Varnish and Anti-Wear Synthetic Hydraulic Oils

Synthetic hydraulic oils work in the overall health of your hydraulic equipment prolonging smooth mechanical efficiency. As systems begin to deteriorate, small amounts of lag time can quickly add up to slower daily operation. Even though 5 seconds may not seem like much, it can add up to hours of slower working time during the course of one day or one week.

AMSOIL multi-viscosity synthetic hydraulic oil base oil naturally resist heat, thermal breakdown and maintain operating viscosity. These fluids do not contain the waxes inherent to conventional hydraulic fluids providing excellent cold temperatures fluid flow. Bearings and other components receive almost immediate lubrication at startup, reducing wear and instances of pressure spikes and erratic operation.
